Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
This is a relief position with no guaranteed hours of work each week. Hours and duties will be notified as required to cover sickness/holiday and additional ad hoc call outs, often at short notice.
The role involves standing and walking outdoors in all weathers. You should have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness, be punctual and enjoy working with the public. You will be responsible, reliable and will play an important role in ensuring the safety of children crossing the road on the way to and from school.
You will also have the communication skills to deal with young people and drivers clearly and effectively. Full induction training and a uniform will be provided.
This post involves access to vulnerable service users and if you were offered a position, you will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service ( DBS ) background check, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
