Pay £14.06 per hour (£27,500 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week)

Penzance is the main base, but the role also covers the Redruth area.


Overview

As Housing and Property Lead, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. You will provide a housing management service, supporting tenants to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts, aiming to help them move onto secure, long‑term accommodation.


Responsibilities

* Ensure customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
* Assist customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring they are received on their rent accounts.
* Issue and sign warning letters and notices when necessary, which may lead to court action.
* Prepare rooms for the next customers, turning around vacant or void rooms/bed spaces/properties within set timescales.
* Maintain health and safety compliance and ensure maintenance standards are met.


Qualifications

* Experience managing a housing caseload and handling landlord and housing management duties.
* Knowledge of re‑letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
* Ability to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
* Capability to work independently, positively influencing people from diverse backgrounds.
* Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and with external partners.


Practical Bits

* Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
* Predominantly based at the service in Penzance, with travel around the properties in Penzance and Redruth, and working from the Camborne office.
* Use of technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims, and processing tenancy sign‑ups.
* Vehicle insured for business purposes required; mileage will be paid.
* Enhanced DBS check required and will be paid for.
