The Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) and its Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk (FAR) seek to appoint a Lecturer in Accounting with specializations in Finance, Business Analytics, and AI. The role involves delivering high-quality education, conducting research, and developing curricula linking traditional accounting and finance with emerging technological capabilities, including analytical methods and AI applications in business. This position aims to enhance FAR’s research and teaching in applied business analytics and AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making in accounting, finance, and business.
Applicants should possess a PhD or be near completion, or an equivalent higher qualification. Relevant qualifications in the subject area, teaching experience, teamwork skills, and potential for research are required. Industry experience is desirable and could suit candidates with extensive industry backgrounds demonstrating teaching and research potential, and the ability to foster collaborations within accounting, finance, and business sectors.
A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE are desirable.
