Electrical Controls Design Engineer

Join a leading manufacturer of bespoke automated machinery as an Electrical Controls Design Engineer, join a leader in innovative packaging machinery, where your designs power cutting‑edge automated systems used by major brands worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop equipment concepts, schemes, and detailed designs (GA drawings, BOMs, panel layouts)
* Produce PLC, HMI, servo, and robot code (Rockwell RSLogix & Siemens essential)
* Create clear, accurate, cost‑effective technical documentation
* Test and commission electrical/control systems
* Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers
* Support worldwide customer sites – installation, commissioning, troubleshooting
* Ensure compliance with H&S, ISO, and CE Marking standards
Experience & Qualifications
* BSc or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
* 5+ years electrical design experience (packaging/automation preferred)
* 2+ years in similar controls design role
* Strong AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
* Proven PLC programming & servo/robotics experience
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills
* Full driving licence & passport – willing to travel globally
