Are you technically minded, detail-driven, and looking for a new challenge in purchasing and stock control? We’re working exclusively with a well-established, forward-thinking business in Cannock that is looking to expand their operations team with a Purchasing Assistant / Stock Controller.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing and controlling stock levels
Conducting regular stock takes and identifying variances
Negotiating prices and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Raising and processing purchase orders
Tracking lead times and managing call-off orders
Monitoring minimum order quantities and contract terms
Working with Sage and Excel to maintain accurate records
Supporting the team with general procurement and technical stock management tasks
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a purchasing, stock control, or supply chain role
Confident using Excel (formulas, data entry) and ideally Sage
A technically minded approach – able to understand product specs and stock requirements
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
