Assets Surveyor (Disrepair & Major Works)

Position: Surveyor (Disrepair & Major Works)
Location: Doncaster area
Driving Required: Yes

About the Role:
As a surveyor, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing disrepair issues within our housing portfolio. Your expertise will help ensure that homes meet modern standards and are fit for habitation.

You will be responsible for:
* Conducting detailed surveys and inspections of domestic and non-domestic assets.
* Preparing technical reports and liaising with legal teams on disrepair matters.
* Managing asbestos issues in line with company policies and HSE guidelines.
* Collaborating with contractors to ensure high-quality work on major projects.
* Investigating customer complaints and providing excellent customer service.
* Ensuring all homes are modern and decent.
* Improving the energy efficiency of properties.
* Investing in homes and neighbourhoods for a better community.

What You Bring:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* A Level 4 qualification in building, construction, or surveying (or a commitment to achieve one within 2 years).
* Experience in housing disrepair and familiarity with relevant legislation.
* Strong knowledge of construction types and building methods.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and digital tools.
