Our Major Projects typically consist of electrical and civil designs for ICP connections, private networks and renewable energy projects. This is a full time permanent role based from home and our office in Wakefield. As a Senior Civil Engineer you will Design checks on all for construction, Civil or electrical drawings issued by designers and contractors. Minor design amendments and AutoCAD work as needed. Delivery design phase of projects up 400kV with appropriate use of specialist contractors. Escalate to manager any risks or nonconformances. Manage day-to-day activities of design contractors working on assigned projects. Be main point of contact for clients for all design related issues. Manage validation of contractor invoices against programme and contract within limits of delegated authority. Maintain positive cashflow and escalate any financial variation from contract or PO to design manager. About you This role is perfect for someone who has experience in a design role with knowledge of electricity, power distribution systems, or renewables industry. You will have a strong working knowledge of Auto CAD or similar and have managed the design phase of projects from tender through to construction.
