Title: Jr. Assistant Finance Manager Start date: ASAP End date: 9 months agency contract Rate: £115/Day Location: Twycross (Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days off) Role purpose The role will drive accuracy and quality as they administrate Company’s monthly close process, managing the Studio inputs in the established month, quarterly and yearly financial close cycles, supply variance reporting and other analysis. Key accountabilities The role will focus on the preparation of, administration and reporting on the Company studio inputs to the monthly close. They will partner with the current Assistant Finance Manager, the Studio Business Operations team, the US Finance team, and Company’s Outsourced Accounts Payable team. Responsibilities include ensuring key vendor invoicing is up to date, administering current live purchase orders, ensuring accurate accruals, conducting analysis, troubleshooting Day 1 to Day 3 close files, and running variance and other analysis reporting on the close. In addition, they will assist the wider team with resolving issues with the raising, management of purchase order, payments, one time vendor payments and vendor onboarding issues Key Deliverables / Activities • Tracking invoice for key development partners (Company vendors), ensuring it is up to date and accurate. • Maintaining reports on current spend to date with key development partners (vendors) • Managing the monthly accruals process, ensuring current live purchase orders are accurately represented. This is both direct (managing accruals personally and on behalf of others) as well as indirect (managing the accruals process conducted by other PO owners) • Reviewing the Close files as they are built up; highlighting, troubleshooting and resolving errors made to ensure the Close position is clean and accurate, reflecting the current position of the business. Required experience Candidates should have experience tracking and managing monthly account close processes. Key skills include: • Working diligently and consistently, comfortable working with a large volume of detail and a wide range of suppliers and topics. • Enjoying producing accurate work. • Enjoying working with remote teams and partners, often in a hybrid / remote role, enjoying helping the team by resolving issues. • Learning / adopting new systems whilst applying past experience. • Good analytical skills, tenacious in identifying sources of variance • Strong MS excel skills (importing data / setting up pivot tables), able to present work well Preferred experience To excel in this role, candidates should have experience as an accounts payable professional or finance manager or hold a relevant qualification.
