Job Title: Early Years Support Staff (Level 2/3)
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing
Love the chaos of glitter, story time, and tiny humans asking big questions?
We’re working with a range of lovely primary schools and nurseries across Sheffield who are on the lookout for Early Years support staff to join their teams. Whether you’re after a few days a week or something more consistent, we’ll find a role that fits around you.
If you’re happiest down at child-height, building dens, encouraging first words, and celebrating the little wins, you’ll feel right at home here.
What your day might look like:
Supporting children in Nursery or Reception with learning through play
Helping with phonics, early maths, and creative activities
Creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive
Supporting routines, snack time, and outdoor play
Working closely with teachers and other support staff
No two days are the same, but that’s half the fun.
What schools are looking for:
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (Required)
Experience working with young children in a nursery or school setting
A warm, patient, and energetic approach
Someone who can get stuck in, from messy play to story time
A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
Why you’ll love these roles:
Friendly, welcoming school environments where you’ll feel part of the team
Opportunities across a variety of settings, find what suits you best
Flexible working options to fit around your life
Supportive staff who value what you bring to the classroom
What you’ll get with us:
Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
Free access to CPD, including Early Years and SEND training
A dedicated consultant who listens and finds roles that suit you
Local placements across Sheffield, no long commutes
You’re not “just” support staff. You’re the one tying shoelaces, wiping tears, and helping little learners take their very first steps into education. That matters, and the schools we work with know it.
Quick one, are you Thrive trained?
If not, we can get you booked onto our free training. It’s a great way to support emotional development in Early Years and makes your profile stand out.
Sound like your kind of role? Let’s get you into a setting where you can do what you do best.
