Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to initiate, plan and provide enjoyable and stimulating group and one-to-one activities based on the identified needs, interests and preferences of older people living in our Extra Care Services in Brent and Harrow. You will facilitate social inclusion and community links and promote physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.
Responsibilities
* Initiate, plan and provide group and one-to-one activities tailored to the needs and preferences of older adults in Extra Care Services in Brent and Harrow.
* Facilitate social inclusion, promote wellbeing, confidence and independence.
* Write reports and create promotional materials such as posters and newsletters to showcase ongoing activities.
Qualifications
* Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate and work with people in groups.
* Experience of working with people with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism or physical disabilities would be advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word or similar software for reporting and creating promotional materials.
Requirements
* Enthusiastic, resourceful and energetic with a warm, compassionate approach and unconditional positive regard.
* Flexible, able to work on a zero-hours contract on a relief basis.
* Willingness to travel between services across Brent and Harrow.
* Located in and eligible to work in the UK.
