Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Specialist Mental Health ServiceHertfordshireFull-Time | 37.5 hours/week | PermanentUp to £35,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a high-performing mental health service supporting individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern. This role will be central to reducing restrictive practices and enhancing patient outcomes across a specialist inpatient setting.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
* Lead the delivery and implementation of person-centred PBS strategies
* Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments and create evidence-based support plans
* Deliver PBS training to staff and promote a culture of positive, proactive care
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient wellbeing
* Monitor the impact of interventions and contribute to continuous service development
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a relevant degree (e.g. Psychology, ABA, Autism Studies)
* Practical experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or autism
* Skilled in developing PBS plans, risk management, and incident debriefing
* Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, safeguarding, and legal frameworks
