Your Role and Responsibilities
As a KS3/KS4 SEND Teacher, you will teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that align with the school's curriculum.
* Assessing and reporting on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
* Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse strengths and needs of students.
* Setting high standards that inspire and motivate pupils.
* Demonstrating secure subject knowledge and participating in preparations for external tests.
* Teaching across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum and adapting learning for students with SEND.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* A good understanding of child development and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and effective behavior management strategies.
* Strong ICT skills to enhance learning.
