About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Hoist Installer to join our external operations team, your primary role will be installing, dismantling and maintaining our hire fleet of rack and pinion construction hoists.
As Trainee Hoist Installer you will be required to undertake all the necessary induction processes and to successfully pass the CSCS Health & Safety Test (If not already held and valid). Training will be provided in the workplace specific to your role and you will also receive job specific training including working towards the CSCS Hoist Installer NVQ Qualifications. You will be guided and take instructions from Experienced & Trained Hoist Installers.

To succeed as a Trainee Hoist Installer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
1. Have a demonstrated background in the construction/industrial industry
2. Have proven ability to safely work at height
3. Clear communication & and reporting skills
4. Role requires unsociable hours as the business requires
5. Must be flexible to work away from home occasionally, as the business requires
6. Able to work as part of a team
7. Preferably had health & safety training or undertaken CSCS safety training course
8. Hold a valid clean driving license
The following skills are advantageous but not essential at this stage –
9. Harness / Working at Height
10. Training Skills, Training or Experience in a similar line of work
11. Manual Handling Training
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with hoists or other lifting equipment and understand the challenges that come with working at height. We are also happy to hear from those who have a strong engineering background with a proven background in Plant Maintenance.
