The Governing Body wish to appoint a Family Engagement Officer to work at Pontygwaith Primary School to complement our existing team.

About the Role
•We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Family Engagement Officer to cover maternity leave and play a key role in strengthening relationships between school and home.
•This nurturing role is central to supporting children’s wellbeing and success by working with and understanding parents, building trust, and removing barriers to learning.
•You will work closely with families, school staff and external agencies to promote positive engagement, provide early support where needed, and help ensure pupils attend school regularly and confidently.
•A significant aspect of the role involves supporting attendance, working sensitively with families to identify challenges and encourage consistent school participation. • This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by fostering strong partnerships with families and creating a welcoming, inclusive community where every child feels supported and able to thrive.
