Relief Support Practitioner – Glenrothes
£13.45 per hour.
We are recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our friendly team at our Glenrothes service. We support over 20 individuals of varying ages, including younger adults, some of whom live independently in their own flats. We provide person‑centred support to help people live as independently, confidently and happily as possible.
Our role is to support individuals with their day‑to‑day lives, whether in their own homes or in the community. This may include helping people take part in activities of their choice such as shopping, socialising, attending groups, appointments, leisure activities, or simply getting out and about and doing things that matter to them.
We offer a good level of flexibility around shift patterns with varying hours. Sleep‑over shifts are a requirement in the service.
Main Duties
* Work with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
* Communicate and work well with supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
* Be responsible in supporting individuals throughout their activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
* Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on the Arks Information Management system.
Important Information
This role may involve some physical activity, including supporting individuals who use wheelchairs. Relief work is offered on an as‑and‑when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work, as the demand for relief staffing may vary over time.
Qualifications
No previous experience required; Ark provides full training. Previous experience of providing support to adults is an advantage but not essential.
