Our community services team in Kinson are seeking a male support worker to provide personalised support to a young gentleman in his own home. Please note: Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship. A Genuine Occupational Requirement applies under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010. This role is therefore only open to male candidates, referring to the sex legally assigned at birth. To be considered for this role you must hold a Full UK driving licence, however access to your own vehicle is not essential. The role Max lives in his own home in Kinson. He communicates using a variety of visual aids such as PECS cards, signs and gestures, giving him his own unique way of sharing his thoughts and preferences. Max enjoys a range of activities, such as: * Spending time bouncing on his trampoline in the garden. * Enjoying a peaceful walk by Throop Mill. * Going in to town for a sweet treat with his support workers. * Spending quality time with his family. Max receives 2:1 support and is reliant on his support staff. He requires assistance with personal care, medication and meal preparation. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is calm, patient and confident with implementing boundaries which are set within Max’s support plan.
