Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Liverpool Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Temporary with potential to become permanent
About the Role:Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in class and through targeted interventions
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering inclusive lessons
* Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
* Help to create a positive, nurturing learning environment
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate
* Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
* Strong communication and team-working skills
* The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) is desirable
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
