Activities at The Carnegie Club
The Skibo estate spans 8,000 acres, from the shores of the Dornoch Firth through woodland, lochs, parkland and open moor. This incredible landscape provides the perfect playground for our Activities team to deliver unforgettable outdoor experiences for members and guests of all ages.
From canoeing and paddleboarding to hill walking and biking, the team creates tailored adventures that showcase the very best of the Highlands. Our dedicated activities hub at the Treehouse at Overskibo has expanded our offering even further, allowing us to deliver exciting, personalised experiences year-round.
About The Role
As an Activities Instructor, you'll help deliver inspiring outdoor experiences that are safe, engaging and tailored to each individual.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading outdoor activities such as biking, canoeing, paddleboarding and more
Tailoring activities to suit different ages, abilities and interests
Creating fun, safe and memorable experiences for members and guests
Carrying out risk assessments and following health & safety procedures
Maintaining equipment and activity areas to the highest standards
Working closely with colleagues across the Club to deliver seamless member experiences
About You
Skills & Experience
Paddlesport Leader or Canoe/Paddleboard Instructor qualification (essential)
MIAS or British Cycling Level 2 qualification (essential)
Archery GB Instructor, Mountain Leader (Summer) and First Aid certificates are desirable
Strong understanding of health & safety and risk assessment
Full, clean UK driving licence
Personal Attributes
Enthusiastic and passionate about the outdoors
Confident communicator who enjoys working with people of all ages
Able to adapt activities to suit different abilities and personalities
Proactive, self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a team
Committed to delivering exceptional experiences in a luxury environment
