THE EMPLOYER IS: FRESH MINDS EDUCATION The Creative Arts Worker supports the delivery of arts-based activities that promote emotional expression, wellbeing, and connection for children, young people, and community members engaged with Fresh Minds Education. The role contributes to the planning and facilitation of creative sessions, preparation of materials, and creation of welcoming, inclusive creative environments. The post supports the use of creativity as a tool for reflection, expression, and engagement within community and wellbeing-focused programmes, working alongside colleagues to ensure sessions are delivered safely, sensitively, and in line with organisational values.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of creative and arts-based workshops and activities.
* Preparing, organising, and maintaining creative materials and resources.
* Setting up and maintaining safe, welcoming creative spaces.
* Supporting participants to engage in creative activities respectfully and inclusively.
* Assisting with the documentation and presentation of creative work where appropriate.

* Working with colleagues to adapt creative activities to different needs and groups.
* Supporting reflection and evaluation of creative activities.
* Ensure all FME stock and equipment are accounted for, recorded and reordered as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Experience Supporting Creative Activities: Proven Experience assisting with arts, crafts, or creative activities in a school, community, youth, or voluntary setting (paid or voluntary).
* Ability to Work with Children, Young People, or Community Groups: Evidence of supporting individuals and groups to participate in creative activities in a respectful and inclusive way.
* Organisation & Practical Skills: Ability to prepare workshops and materials, set up and tidy creative spaces, and manage resources safely and efficiently.
* Professional Conduct & Boundaries: Understanding of appropriate behaviour when working with children and young people, including willingness to undertake safeguarding training.
* Team Working: Able to create and follow session plans, work alongside facilitators, and carry out agreed responsibilities consistently.
Desirable Skills
* Creative Skills or Qualifications: A background or interest in art, craft, drama, storytelling, or other creative disciplines.
* Experience in a Wellbeing or Community Setting: Previous involvement in projects focused on emotional wellbeing, community engagement, or inclusive practice.

Location: Antrim Enterprise Centre. The Employer is: FRESH MINDS EDUCATION JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
