The job is for a Bank Healthcare Assistant role at Elysium Healthcare's Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes. Main duties of the job

As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will join the team at Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes to provide care and support to people with mental health conditions. Your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker will be utilized to help service users improve their mental health and wellbeing, develop healthy relationships, and work towards living successful and fulfilling lives within the community. The role can be challenging at times, but it is highly rewarding to see the progress and growth of the individuals you support.

Whether you’re looking for extra shifts to boost your income or a flexible job that fits around your lifestyle, if you’re an experienced Healthcare Assistant in the UK you can join our staff bank and, after completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll have access to available shifts at Gateway Recovery CentreinWidnes, plus the potential future option to work bank shifts regionally at other Elysium services across the region.

There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.

Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Gateway Recovery Centresecured that you want.

Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

What you will be doing:

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Mental Healthconditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

Where you will be working:

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility which provides care for men and women with complex Mental Health requirements.

The hospital is split intofourdistinct areas:

* Male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
* Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex Mental Health needs and personality difficulties
* Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex Mental Health and physical health needs.
* Low secure care setting for men with a Mental illness with or without personality disorder/mild LD

You will be working alongside the team with the aim to improve the Mental Health and wellbeing of service users and to help them develop and maintain healthy relationships with others. Gateway Recovery Centre will work to reduce risk behaviours associated with Mental Health conditions so that our patients can ultimately live successful and fulfilling lives within the community.

Qualifications

* You should have previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker, with the ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance in supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
