Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for contract administration, risk management, and negotiations to ensure profitability and cash flow projections, including all upward and downward chain reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial and wider project teams to successfully deliver the works.
* Communicate, negotiate, and procure with sub-contractors and supply chain partners.
* Advise the project team on contractual issues.
* Ensure compliance with current contract conditions, protecting the company's interests.
* Report upwards and downwards to management and project teams on contract status.
* Handle variations, compensation events, contractual notifications, and tender support.
* Manage cost, risk, and project performance reporting.
* Prepare monthly financial statements and final account summaries.
* Assist with progress reports in collaboration with the project manager.
* Manage delegated resources to ensure value for money.
* Adhere to company policies on equality, sustainability, health and safety, and data protection.
Required Skills and Experience
* 8-10 years of experience in construction commercial management on major projects.
* 2-3 years as a Senior Quantity Surveyor preferred but not essential.
* Experience with NEC contracts.
* Degree or equivalent commercial management experience.
* Understanding of civil engineering techniques, equipment, and logistics.
* Ability to manage teams under tight deadlines.
* Strong IT skills.
* Full UK manual driving license.
