You’ll make sure our House Experience Volunteers are happy and that everything’s running smoothly.Supervised by a Collections and House Manager, you'll be responsible for routine conservation, preventive conservation and the annual programme of deep cleaning. Your attention to detail and expertise will help to ensure excellent standards of care throughout the house.You'll collect and record information to improve our knowledge and understanding of the house and all that’s in it. You’ll use preventive conservation methods to improve how we look after everything, and how we present it to visitors.You’ll also be part of the duty management rota, making sure the property is open and ready to receive visitors, checking on all departments throughout the day, and problem solving if anything unexpected arises. You might be required to help in the tea room or the car park on busy days, so you’ll need to be willing to turn your hand to anything.
