We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body and have the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership you will guide your team with a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. Good communication, organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential, as is knowledge of running a smooth and effective department.
As our Clinical Leader, you will:
* Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, including the smooth running of the theatre lists and organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics and Gynae.
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and the enhancement of patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.
