Job Title: Maths and English Teaching Assistant
Salary: £14,006 - £14,424 pro rata
Location: Multi-site
Hours and Weeks per Year: 24 Hours a week/ 38 Weeks per year
Kirklees College is seeking a Maths and English Teaching Assistant to be based at our Waterfront and Pioneer centres. The focus of this role will be working with adult learners and apprentices with SEND to improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
Your key responsibilities will include planning, preparing and delivering group learning activities, identifying individual SEND needs, and completing inclusion plans.
Ideally, you will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to work towards one, and have previous experience of working in a post 16 environment with learners with additional learning needs. You must be able to communicate effectively, encourage high aspirations, and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
