About Barnet Council
Barnet is a borough with much to be proud of. Our excellent schools, vibrant town centres, vast green spaces and diverse communities all help make it a great place to live and work. As a council we want to build on these strengths as we move into the future. We are growing and developing as an organisation to meet the challenges facing our borough and we are committed to working with partner organisations and residents to make Barnet even better. Our staff are committed to our values: Learning to Improve, Caring, Inclusive, Collaborative – which drive everything we do.
About the Role
Children’s Social Care nationally is going through one of the most exciting periods of reform in decades. These reforms are about creating a system that is more consistent, child‑centred and evidence‑based. For Newly Qualified Social Workers, this is a chance to learn from the ground up and shape practice as the reforms take hold. You’ll be part of a profession that is evolving to better meet children’s needs. We’re looking for social workers who are curious, adaptable and ready to contribute to new ways of working. If you’re someone who embraces change and sees it as an opportunity to grow, this is the perfect time to join us. This is a 13 month fixed‑term contract.
