About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Design Manager to join our growing team and take responsibility for leading the design process across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working on schemes within commercial, industrial, education, extra care and residential sectors, you will play a key role in ensuring that design solutions are practical, cost-effective and fully aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to handover.
* Coordinate design information between consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
* Ensure designs are buildable, compliant and aligned with budget, programme and quality expectations.
* Chair design meetings and provide clear communication between all stakeholders.
* Identify and mitigate design risks while driving value engineering opportunities.
* Support bid and pre-construction teams with technical input for tenders and presentations.
* Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
About You
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and a track record of managing the design function on a variety of projects.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Design Manager (or Design Coordinator ready to step up).
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and technical detailing.
* Experience across commercial, industrial, education, extra care or residential projects.
* Excellent leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Proficient in design management systems and collaborative working platforms.
