LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Halifax, Leeds, Hove or London
HOURS: Full time

Ready to shape the future of lending in Private Banking? We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused individual to join our Specialised Lending Team as a Private Banking Specialist Lender. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of our lending operations, delivering exceptional outcomes for high-value clients while helping shape the future of our lending proposition.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Proactively manage and build relationships with key internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner.
2. Identify and resolve shortcomings in compliance and distribution processes to enhance customer service.
3. Collaborate with lending colleagues to manage important external introducer relationships.
4. Build and maintain a productive working relationship with Wealth Credit Risk to support the delivery of outstanding customer outcomes.
5. Provide input into the development of improved procedures to enhance the customer lending journey.
6. Offer operational support to senior managers through non-routine activities using established programmes and protocols.

Essential Skills
7. 3+ years experience in complex HNW residential and specialist lending
8. Proven understanding of the UK residential property market and the services that support it.
9. Strong relationship management skills as you'll be working across Private Banking, Wealth Credit Risk and introducers
10. Customer‑first decision‑making with confident judgement in complex lending scenarios
11. Continuous improvement approach with strong control, documentation and process discipline
Desirable Skills
12. Ability to coach others in lending standards and credit reasoning
13. Comfortable using customer and partner feedback to enhance service
14. Proactive in sharing knowledge and guidelines across teams

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks
