Due to increased production within their factory, they are seeking the services of an Electrical Bias Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their talented team. This is a permanent, full-time position that consists of days and nights working split across a 2-week rotating 4-day weeks. Week 1 consists of a day working pattern (6am to 6pm Monday to Thursday), whilst week 2 consists of a night working pattern (6pm to 5am Monday to Thursday). Our client pays by the hour, where the successful candidate can expect to receive a basic rate of £20.14 per hour. In addition, you will receive additional hourly Health & Safety and production bonuses, taking the average hourly rate to c£22 per hour. Roles & Responsibilities * Carry out electrical based fault finding, maintenance and repair works across a wide range of PPM systems * Adhere to strict pre-planned maintenance schedules and respond efficiently to reactive breakdowns * Perform troubleshooting across PLC controlled machinery (mainly Beckhoff PLCs) and perform modifications and updates to HMIs * Work independently from technical diagrams and schematic drawings * Ensure accurate and up to date maintenance reports are completed and documented correctly on the management system * Assist the Maintenance Manager in performing shopfloor risk assessments and inspections of PPMs * Perform installations and commissioning of new electrical systems * Collaborate with other Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers on large repair or maintenance tasks, whilst partaking in mechanical based maintenance when required * Ensure exceptional housekeeping standards are maintained at all times Skills & Experience * Electrical based apprenticeship, HND or HNC preferred * Candidates must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering field * Demonstrable experience in fault finding and diagnostics on PLCs * Proven capability working with HMI screens * Proven experience in maintaining, repairing and installing hydraulic, pneumatic and three phase electrical systems * Experienced in the commissioning of automation systems highly desirable * Ability to work independently from schematic diagrams without supervision * Competent with IT based management systems and Microsoft Office packages About Express Recruitment Express Recruitment has been offering exceptional recruitment solutions across the East Midlands since 1987, “exceeding expectations every time” of over 267,000 candidates.
