Role

You’ll provide support and advice to young people who have experienced homelessness and other forms of social exclusion. You’ll work with the team to manage the day-to‑day running of the young person’s 24/7 supported accommodation scheme and be the first point of contact for customers and visitors.

Responsibilities

* Maintain the safety and security of young people and the building by supervising the entrance and exit of the building and undertaking regular health and safety checks.
* Arrange appointments for customers, for example with their GP or DWP and accompany them where appropriate; provide advice on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary.
* Work with the local community and respond to neighbourhood concerns or queries when needed.
* Support the service’s income through the minimisation of void loss and arrears by reporting, monitoring and following up on maintenance jobs until completion; support with preparing void rooms for re‑let and keep the service clean and tidy.
