Civil Enforcement Officer
Looking for a job where no two days are ever the same? If you've got great people skills and enjoy outdoor work that keeps you fit, consider becoming a Civil Enforcement Officer.
Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) are the first point of contact for visitors and residents, acting as ambassadors for the council. They assist with directions, answer questions about the local area, and provide advice on parking and other queries. The team has invested in new handheld computers and electric vehicles, committed to improving public service and offering opportunities for skill development, confidence building, and career progression.
Our Civil Enforcement team plays a vital role in ensuring road safety and reducing congestion. Officers work across Bristol, seven days a week, including early mornings and late evenings, outdoors in all weather conditions. Full uniform and protective gear are provided. Candidates must be willing to work at any location within Bristol.
Holding a current UK driving license and experience on public highways or in car parks is desirable but not essential.
The role involves enforcing parking and waiting restrictions on public roads and in car parks. Teamwork and support for event management and parking suspensions are key to maintaining Bristol as a great place to live, work, and visit. The main responsibility is to ensure parking restrictions are observed and enforced fairly and consistently.
Salary: Starting at £24,702 - £25,979 plus an additional shift pay of £3,596 per year.
