Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering role at Digitized Logos, Inc.
Location: Lenham, Kent
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus either an electric car or car allowance
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s high-performing commercial team, working on water and infrastructure engineering projects across Kent. This role offers exposure to Capital and Operational Expenditure (CAPEX/OPEX) budgets and an understanding of Total Expenditure (TOTEX) in the utilities sector. You will help ensure the commercial success of major infrastructure projects and support sustainable, carbon-positive solutions.
Responsibilities
* Generate weekly revenue and cost reports
* Manage submissions of daily completed jobs
* Produce and maintain Schedule of Rates documentation
* Reconcile subcontractor costs and prepare payment certificates
* Liaise with operations and planning teams to monitor progress and scope changes
* Review project performance to ensure targets are met
* Price completed works for high-volume, low-value projects
* Develop strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
* Analyse weekly and monthly cost and revenue data
About You
* Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in utilities, civil, or mechanical engineering, ideally within the water industry
* Experience managing high-volume, low-value works
* Good understanding of NEC contracts
* Confidence in subcontractor management
* Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Requirements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
* Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (with commercial management experience)
