We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician for a permanent position based with our client in York.
Immediate start available (subject to interview process).
Salary is £30,000 per annum and upwards depending on experience.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience within engineering, production, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or a strong mechanical background. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business and play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Assurance
Carry out final quality inspections on machines before they leave the factory
Inspect paint finish and overall cosmetic appearance
Complete visual weld inspections
Conduct torque checks on fasteners
Verify hydraulic and electrical systems
Ensure all correct options and components are fitted
Perform functional testing and geometry checks
Sign off completed machines for stock or identify any rectification work required to meet quality standardsReporting & Documentation
Monitor and track build quality and production trends
Highlight recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate records for internal audits and quality reviews
Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and internal quality proceduresWarranty & Service Support
Assist with the administration and processing of warranty claims
Work closely with the parts and dealer support teams
Assess warranty claims for technical validity and identify root causes and corrective actionsFailure Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
Support investigations into machine or component failures, both in-house and in the field
Work alongside engineering, production, and suppliers to identify root causes
Help implement corrective and preventative actions to improve reliability and build quality
Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, Parts, and Service departments
Act as a key link between factory quality, aftersales, and dealer support teamsSkills & Experience Required
Hands-on experience within engineering, manufacturing, or service environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
