About the role
* Work within the Distribution Centre to manage and align streams of work for Distribution, ensuring colleagues and operations are not compromised at any time.
* Partner with stakeholders across Tesco and externally to deliver objectives, manage dependencies and deliver the overall plan.
* Act in an agile way, working across different areas of distribution operation to ensure plans align with the strategic automation plan.
* Recruit, train, develop and support colleagues to achieve their best performance.
* Share knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise throughout the team.
* Take ownership of process and systems, ensuring they are effective and efficient; spot issues and find rapid solutions.
* Understand how technology and automation are key to the future of distribution and make sure automation is integrated into key business processes.
You will be responsible for
* Attending meetings and calls with the Project Manager and Distribution team.
* Liaising with distribution centre teams during installation to ensure they understand each step from install to go‑live.
* Signing off the resource/skill plan to ensure alignment with each phase of installation.
* Co‑ordinating between the Distribution Team and Project Team to minimise disruption, support depot operation and the wider network.
* Communicating progress updates, changes and upcoming events to depot teams.
* Providing regular updates to the Project Manager and Project Team.
* Ensuring all faults are logged post‑install and that the centre team knows how to log issues going forward.
* Supporting the Project Team with any queries promptly.
* Logging operational learnings to build future blueprints for AMR roll‑outs.
You will need
* Strong communication and organisational skills with leadership qualities to motivate others.
* Ownership and problem‑solving skills to improve processes and systems.
* Expertise in automation and its application to distribution.
* Integrity, due diligence and adherence to the business code of conduct.
* Energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging and changing environments.
* Readiness to be the go‑to expert for process guidance and advice.
