PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To provide an effective and efficient site engineering role
MAIN TASKS:
• Ensure efficient programme of works
• Responsibility for measurements and valuations
• Assume responsibility for setting out / dimensional control
• Ensure effective organisation of sections of work
• Maintain daily/weekly contact with Site Agent
• Assume responsibility for decision making in conjunction with Site Agent
• External contact with clients’ representatives
• External contact with sub contractors
• Ensure timely payments to sub contractors
• Assist and participate in on and off site training.
• Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations ensuring that all issues of Health & Safety are monitored regularly and accurate records maintained
• Any other reasonable duties as required
• The ability to constructively solve problems both short term and long term.
• Management of diverse relationships in a multi disciplinary site environment, including managers, employees, owner-drivers and external bodies.
• The ability to effectively communicate thoroughness of reporting.
• Maintain “an eye for detail” throughout contracts.
• Project and promote commitment to the job.
KEY ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge / Experience:
• Relevant engineering experience within the Civil engineering, Construction, Utilities and Power sectors
Skills:
• Third level qualification in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant engineering experience within the Civil engineering, Construction, Utilities and Power sectors
• Good written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
• Third level qualification in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Other Requirements:
Fully flexible regarding travel, prepared to travel to site locations and stay away when required
