Through cutting‑edge technology, a vast logistics network, and a commitment to sustainability, we serve a broad customer base—from Fortune 500 corporations to local, family‑owned businesses.

Shift Available: Monday to Friday, alternating from 6am‑2pm and 2pm‑10pm

Salary: Competitive

The Role

* Diagnose and resolve equipment failures across mechanical, electrical and other systems—including cranes, conveyors, refrigeration and plant utilities—identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
* Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks in line with PPM programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Regularly inspect and ensure the Coldstore plant is operating within temperature thresholds. Support refrigeration servicing schedules and report any deviations or concerns to leadership promptly.
* Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment.
* Support the wider team in working together to solve problems and keep our facility moving.
* Work in a cold environment of approximately minus 18°C, with full PPE provided to keep you warm.
* Work on ladders at height at times.

Who We’re Looking For

* A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent). Mechanical Engineering knowledge also beneficial.
* Proven hands‑on experience in a maintenance role, ideally with refrigeration experience and mobile racking.
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Familiarity with food safety standards, health & safety legislation, and maintenance best practices.
* Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
* Effective communicator in English with a proactive and adaptable approach.

What’s in it for me?

* A competitive starting pay rate.
* The opportunity to earn an additional day of annual leave each year, up to a maximum of one extra week for length of service.
* Free onsite car park.
* Social environment with a team who support each other to achieve goals, with recognition schemes and shared spaces for lunch and rest breaks.
* Support for emotional well‑being with access to a 24/7 employee assistance phone line offering confidential free counselling and advice.
* Preferential rates for loans and savings through exclusive access to a credit union.
