Your new roleAs an Investigating Officer, you will work within a specialist teams – Maladministration,
You will:
1. Investigateplaints and systemic issues impartially and in line with legislation
2. Analyse large volumes of sensitive information and prepare detailed reports
3. Manage aplex caseload, meeting deadlines and performance targets
4. Make evidence-based rmendations to improve public services

What you'll need to succeedEducated to degree level (or equivalent) AND a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in collecting and analysing information to arrive at evidence based, written conclusions
OR
A minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience in collecting and analysing information to arrive at evidence based, written conclusions.
AND
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to use sound and balanced judgement to support well-reasoned and appropriate decisions
6. Identifying and interpreting relevant legislation, codes and guidance, regulation or procedural requirements
7. Excellent writtenmunication skills with the ability to present and analyse evidence, and effectivelymunicate findings through letters and reports.
8. Excellent organisational and planning skills including the ability to manage a significant andplex caseload and meet tight timescales
9. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with robust challenge whilst showing appropriate empathy
10. Experience of carrying out challenging interviews to gather information
