Freelance Health and Safety Consultant - Fully remote Working with Site Visits.
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable Freelance Health and Safety Consultant to provide expert guidance on occupational health, safety regulations, and compliance.
Our client is a well-established and growing Health & Safety consultancy supporting organisations across a wide range of industries. They are dedicated to helping businesses create safe, compliant, and positive working environments — and are now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.
The role:
As a Health & Safety Consultant, you’ll work closely with a portfolio of clients, providing professional advice and hands-on support across all aspects of health, safety, and risk management. You’ll lead audits, deliver engaging training, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement in safety culture and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive health, safety, and fire risk assessments.
* Developing and implementing tailored H&S management systems and policies.
* Delivering practical, solution-based advice to clients.
* Providing engaging H&S training and workshops.
* Acting as Lead Consultant for key client accounts.
* Promoting and demonstrating the use of H&S software and reporting platforms.
* Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
* Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
About you:
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety Consultant or Advisor.
* Recognised qualification (NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication, client-facing, and organisational skills.
* Relevant fire safety qualifications (desirable).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and H&S software systems.
* Full UK driving license and own vehicle.
* Working towards or already CMIOSH status (advantageous).
