Overview
Strategic Estates Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Derbyshire NHS Infrastructure Strategy. This role will be pivotal in driving estates transformation across the Derbyshire system, ensuring our estate is fit for the future and aligned with strategic priorities.
The postholder will be employed by Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust but will work collaboratively across all system partners, including the Joined Up Care Derbyshire Provider Collaborative, with a high level of autonomy and influence.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of the Estates Work Programme across Derbyshire, supporting key strategic priorities
* Estate utilisation – maximising use of existing estate assets
* Estate rationalisation – identifying opportunities for consolidation and cost-efficiency
* Improving data quality – to inform strategic decisions around priorities
* Supporting the left shift – enabling care closer to home through estate planning
* Collaborate with NHS organisations and wider public sector partners to foster a culture of partnership and shared ambition
* Ensure robust reporting and benefit realisation mechanisms are in place
* Support clinically-led medium-term estate planning and service transformation
* Represent the programme at system groups including the Strategic Estates Group and Local Estates workstreams

Qualifications

* Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a relevant specialist area

* Appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations

* Experience of delivering Estates-related projects in a complex multi-faceted environment
Desirable
* Experience of infrastructure planning and informing Infrastructure Delivery Plans, including knowledge of s106 and CIL funding arrangements
