Role: Production Coordinator
Location: Lossiemouth - onsite
Role Type: 12 months ongoing
Salary: potentially up to £32 an hour depending on experience
Role Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the aerospace sphere, is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator based full-time at a key supplier facility in Lossiemouth. This site-based UK Fixed Wing operations and associated contracts, ensuring alignment with industry best practice and in adherence to the clients Go4Zero Health & Safety and Security policies. The role reports to the Fixed Wing Execution Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt and verification of inbound shipments, ensuring accuracy against documentation.
Identify, report, and escalate non-conformances effectively.
Store materials in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organisation and compliance with 6S principles and client policy.
Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch orders in line with aircraft schedules and customer requirements.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
Execute distribution tasks in accordance with defined supply chain processes and operational requirements.
Ensure strict compliance with all safety, security, and quality procedures.
Keep all records and documentation up to date and audit-ready.
Prioritise tasks effectively to support overall business objectives and operational deadlines.
Investigate and support Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) for any spares failing to meet Required Delivery Dates (RDD), reporting findings to P-8A Supply Chain Management.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external support organisations to ensure continuity of service.
Adhere to and improve Business Unit processes and procedures by identifying and addressing operational gaps.
Mentor junior team members, promoting supply chain best practices and supporting their development.
Contribute to the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to warehouse and distribution operations.
Provide subject matter expertise and support to stakeholders in planning long-term programme needs.
Lead meetings and reviews related to assigned Risk Action Areas (RAAs).
