Adult Social Worker
Location:
Liskeard and surrounding areas
Pay Rate:
£25.38 per hour (paid weekly every Friday via PAYE)
Hours:
Full-time – 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15
(Condensed hours may be considered, subject to service needs)
Contract Start Date:
14 April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality services across East Cornwall. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults, alongside the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults in need of care and support
2. Complete safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory duties
3. Develop and review care and support plans
4. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
5. Conduct regular face-to-face visits across the service area
6. Maintain accurate and timely case records
Essential Skills & Experience
7. In-depth knowledge of all aspects of Adult Social Work
8. Proven experience completing safeguarding enquiries
9. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
10. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Recognised relevant professional social work qualification with HCPC registration
Special Requirements
13. Access to a car and ability to travel
14. Willingness to undertake weekly face-to-face visits across East Cornwall (Liskeard to the River Tamar)
