About the Role
Bristan Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Social Media Manager to lead social media activity across the Bristan Group brands, with a primary focus on Bristan and supporting Heritage where required.
This is a senior role for a social media specialist with at least 10 years’ experience, who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands‑on level. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering a social strategy that drives audience growth, engagement, community building and demand generation.
A key focus will be building strong installer communities and increasing consideration, usage and advocacy for the Bristan brand within the trade. At the same time, the role will drive consumer awareness and purchase intent, supporting sales through key retail partners including bricks‑and‑mortar retailers and online platforms such as Amazon.
Working closely with the brand and marketing teams, this role will ensure social media supports key campaigns, brand messages and commercial priorities, while delivering measurable growth across platforms.

Key Objectives
* Deliver a strategic social media approach that drives measurable growth in reach, engagement and audience across platforms
* Build and nurture active installer communities that increase advocacy and brand preference for Bristan
* Drive consumer awareness, consideration and purchase intent through engaging and relevant content
* Support key brand campaigns, product launches and retail partnerships through effective social activation
* Deliver demand generation through both organic and paid social media activity
Key Responsibilities
* Input to and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand and commercial objectives
* Identify opportunities to grow audience reach, engagement and community participation across platforms
* Act as the social media subject matter expert within the organisation, advising stakeholders on best practice and opportunities
* Ensure social media supports broader brand, marketing and demand generation strategies
* Leverage influencers in key customer segments to build brand awareness and advocacy
Installer Community Building
* Build and grow engaged installer communities across relevant social platforms
* Develop content and initiatives that resonate with trade audiences and support advocacy for the Bristan brand
* Encourage conversation, peer recommendation and user-generated content within installer networks
* Demonstrate measurable growth in engagement and community participation
Consumer Social Media
* Drive awareness and consideration among consumer audiences
* Support the purchase journey by signposting to key retail partners, including bricks‑and‑mortar and online retailers such as Amazon
* Create and optimise content designed to maximise reach, engagement and shareability
* Maximise the opportunities for brand building across Retail Media.
* Manage the delivery of a high‑performing content strategy tailored to both trade and consumer audiences
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of what content performs well across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
* Oversee the planning and delivery of social content calendars aligned to brand campaigns and product launches
* Continually test, learn and optimise content formats and messaging based on performance insights
Organic & Paid Social
* Manage and optimise organic social activity to drive engagement and community growth
* Work across paid social media campaigns and always on activity to amplify reach, support demand generation and deliver measurable results
* Ensure paid and organic strategies work together to maximise campaign effectiveness
Performance & Measurement
* Track, analyse and report on key performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic and demand generation impact
* Demonstrate clear evidence of social media growth and performance improvements
* Use insights to continually optimise strategy and content performance
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work closely with internal teams including brand, product, sales and marketing
* Support partnerships with key wholesale and retail partners through social media activation
* Collaborate with agencies and external partners where required
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in leading social media marketing across either client side or agency envirionments.
* Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic social media programmes
* Demonstrable success in growing audiences, engagement and online communities
* Strong experience across key platforms including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
* Deep understanding of content strategies that perform with trade audiences
* Experience managing both organic and paid social media campaigns
* Proven ability to deliver demand generation through social media
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and improvements
* Experience working within home improvement, trade, construction or consumer durables sectors
* Strong content creation and copywriting skills
* Experience of working with influencers across social media content
* Experience building trade or installer communities
* Experience supporting retail and e-commerce channels
