Dyson Legal are currently looking for a Head of Competition to join our Global Legal Compliance and Ethics team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Legal Compliance and Ethics you will lead the Competition Law programme within Dyson’s global business and operations. This role i s critical to support the functions clear vision - “ A global compliance and ethics function focused on empowering Dyson and its people to do the right thing while enabling robust and sustainable business growth ” - we need you to help us achieve this vision.
This role requires a bright, tenacious and pro-active individual to support Dyson’s Global Legal Compliance and Ethics function vision and lead the provision of advice to the business in respect of Competition compliance risk. This is a role that provides an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role in the broader compliance programme within a global technology company and make a real contribution as part of a dynamic, global and passionate team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support the Director of Legal Compliance and Ethics with the continued design, implementation and delivery of group-wide legal regulatory and ethical compliance programmes across the EMEA, APAC, Americas, China and beyond.
Responsible for setting and implementing all aspects of the Competition compliance strategy and program me .
In collaboration with our Dyson Legal Market teams, a ct as a s ubject m atter e xpert, providing prompt, professional advice to colleagues where necessary .
Build strong relationships with all functions across the Dyson global business, both at Group and Market level.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Competition legislation. Proactively monitor and analyse evolving laws, rules, regulations and guidance to help Dyson to maintain compliance and strategic alignment.
Promote and encourage a culture of Competition compliance across the organi s ation – leading on communication, awareness, and training.
Manage timely, appropriate, and professional responses to regulatory communications.
Implement and maintain Competition policies, standards and guidance including, as appropriate, developing and implementing market specific derogations on policies, procedures and associate documentation.
Develop and maintain risk monitoring dashboards, Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators .
About You
At least 5 years of previous Competition law experience in a legal or compliance-related role within a global company .
Possess a relevant degree qualification or equivalent (e.g. in law or business) .
Strong knowledge of Competition law s, including the UK, EU and US Competition law.
Experience in working with multiple stakeholders regionally or globally.
Strong ability in interpreting and applying legislation, advising on compliance requirements and working with risk and governance frameworks, policies or procedures.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
