We’re recruiting a Trainee Recruitment Manager to join our Talent Acquisition and Organisational Development team. As a Trainee Recruitment Manager, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, screening, and selecting top talent for Marston’s. This role offers a clear career pathway into a Recruitment Manager position, with the added opportunity to study for a Level 3 recruitment apprenticeship while in the role. We are looking for someone passionate about recruitment and people, with a desire to build a career in Talent Acquisition.
This is a full-time, agile position, with the expectation that you’ll work from our modern office in Wolverhampton a minimum of 2 days per week. The role will require occasional travel across our pub estate, so a driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
1. Candidate Management: Engage with candidates, conduct interviews, and utilise recruitment software systems to streamline hiring processes. Support recruitment for a range of roles from head office to franchisees.
2. Stakeholder Management and Engagement: Work closely with Recruitment Managers, hiring managers, and the wider People team to demonstrate effective collaboration.
3. Project Planning and Execution: Plan recruitment projects, set timelines, and execute strategies to meet hiring needs efficiently.
4. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Resolve recruitment challenges, make informed hiring decisions, and adapt to changing market conditions.
5. Leadership and Mentorship: While in a trainee role, learn from senior consultants and develop leadership skills.
6. Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify areas for process improvement and bring innovative strategies to enhance candidate experience. Stay informed about industry trends, challenges, and innovations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in recruitment software, social media platforms, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience Level: No prior experience required, but internship or relevant coursework is a plus.
* Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of recruitment basics, employment laws, and best practices in talent acquisition is beneficial, but a passion for learning and a proactive attitude towards personal and professional development are more important.
