Mobilisation and Support Manager (Fixed Term Contract)
Salary – £37,477 - £46,847 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – Monday to Friday - 8am -5pm
Location – Hereford, HR2 8BH
As a Mobilisation and Support Manager at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the delivery and mobilisation of enhanced services on the Hereford Collections contract, while providing wider operational support to the existing service. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety, environmental compliance, and service delivery, operating efficiently and effectively within budget.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
•Lead the mobilisation and delivery of enhanced services on the Hereford Collections contract
•Ensure the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors, setting a strong personal example
•Manage operations across two operating sites and one vehicle workshop
•Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, statutory regulations, permits and licences
•Oversee operational efficiency of vehicles, plant and resources
•Deliver contractual reporting requirements to the local authority
•Monitor performance to maintain high service levels and avoid financial penalties
•Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, training, discipline and performance management
•Control budgets, forecasts and operational cost reporting
•Ensure safe systems of work are in place and consistently applied
•Promote continuous improvement, cost effective working and flexible working arrangements
•Act as a credible representative of FCC Environment with clients, regulators and community groups
What are we looking for?
•Transport Manager CPC (or willingness to work towards)
•Experience in operational management, ideally within waste or a similar regulated industry
•Proven ability to manage teams in a production or operational environment
•Strong understanding of health & safety and environmental compliance
•Experience managing budgets and delivering to financial targets
•Numerate and IT literate, able to use management information effectively
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Commercially astute, results driven and decisive
•A motivated leader who inspires high standards and embraces change
