We are working with a highly successful hedge fund, who are looking to hire an ambitious and intelligent individual into a Fund Accounting/Operations Analyst role.
This is an incredibly broad role covering fund accounting, investment assistant work, risk, valuations, and operations; giving you exposure to the full workings of a fund. The role will sit in an open plan office and work closely with senior members of the fund – CEO, COO, CIO etc. They are in the process of automating many of their manual processes (using SQL) so this role will support these ongoing projects, with the rest of your time being more value add and business orientated duties. The fund has some high-profile investors, so it is essential to have exceptional attention to detail as you will be supporting with preparing marketing material, due diligence, and reporting.
For this, we are looking for academically strong finance professionals, who have 1-2 years of relevant experience (either via operations, fund accounting, finance) and be passionate about a career in the financial services sector. Any exposure to SQL, Python or similar is highly desirable.
The firm have incredibly low turnover, which reflects their generous total compensation packages (many people in the business get 40%+ bonus across non-investment roles), and positive working environment. They are committed to give the support and training required, and intend to develop this hire to become a future leader of the team. This, along with the breadth of exposure, will provide the perfect foundations to progress into other senior level positions.
