HW Finance is partnering with a leading organisation in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to join their established HR & Finance function. This is a key role within a lean, high-performing team, and will suit someone who has operated at manager level while remaining hands-on with payroll processing. The Role You will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate, timely delivery across a multi-entity environment. The organisation is continuing to enhance and streamline its systems, so strong Workday payroll capability is essential. Key Responsibilities Manage and process end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance Act as the Workday payroll subject matter expert across the business Lead on payroll troubleshooting, configuration, and process improvements Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and systems teams Oversee payroll controls, reconciliations, and reporting Support audit requirements and legislative compliance Drive continuous improvement across payroll operations About You Proven experience operating at Payroll Manager level MUST have hands-on Workday payroll experience (not just end-user) Strong technical payroll knowledge (HMRC, statutory payments, pensions, etc.) Comfortable working in a lean team with a hands-on approach Excellent accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving skills Strong communicator able to partner cross-functionally If you’re a proactive Payroll Manager with Workday expertise and looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
