A global entertainment organisation is seeking a solicitor to join its in-house Intellectual
Property Enforcement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London.
The role will focus on supporting the protection and enforcement of the organisation’s
broadcasting and audio-visual rights internationally. The successful candidate will assist
with litigation and strategic initiatives aimed at combatting infringement of valuable media
rights.
Our client operates a hybrid working model, offering flexibility to work remotely for part of
the week alongside three days of office attendance.
The Role
Working within a specialist legal team, you will support lawyers in implementing
enforcement strategies designed to protect the organisation’s audio-visual and media rights
across key international territories.
Responsibilities will include:
* Supporting civil, criminal and administrative enforcement action relating to
* intellectual property infringement
* Assisting with anti-piracy initiatives and awareness campaigns in collaboration
* with internal communications and marketing teams
* Liaising with external counsel, law enforcement bodies and broadcasting partners
* across multiple jurisdictions
* Supporting engagement with policy makers and regulators to ensure adequate
* legislative frameworks exist to protect media rights
* Contributing to a broader global enforcement strategy in collaboration with colleagues
* across international offices

Candidate Requirements
* Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with approximately 5 years’ post-qualification experience
* Strong academic background and legal training from a recognised law firm or reputable in-house team
* Solid understanding of intellectual property law
* Experience in litigation or contentious matters, ideally including IP enforcement
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to a range of stakeholders
* A proactive, collaborative and commercially minded approach to problem solving
