There’s a big difference between constantly chasing new business and actually building relationships that generate long-term revenue.
This role is all about the second one.
We’re working with a growing, customer-focused business looking to add an Account Manager to their team in Consett.
You’ll be managing existing clients, handling renewals, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts over time.
The role
You’ll be given a portfolio of customers and warm opportunities to manage.
From there, it’s about building trust, securing renewals, and expanding accounts where it makes sense.
Day to day, you’ll be:
• Managing and converting warm leads from internal campaigns and partner referrals
• Speaking with existing customers about upcoming renewals and contract options
• Building strong relationships and understanding client needs and challenges
• Presenting tailored proposals that deliver real value
• Identifying opportunities to expand accounts (additional services, sites, etc.)
• Keeping CRM and pipeline activity up to date
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly targets
Over time, this develops into a full Account Management role, including managing key accounts and conducting regular reviews.
What’s on offer
• £27,000 – £32,000 basic salary
• Uncapped commission (10% of GP generated)- no threshold for the first 3 months

• Early finish working hours (8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)
There is also potential for extended time off over the Christmas period based on performance.
What they’re looking for
• Minimum 12 months’ sales experience
(B2C, call centre, face-to-face, door-to-door or targeted retail)
• Confident communicator who can build rapport quickly
• Target-driven with a strong work ethic
• Organised and able to manage your own pipeline
• Positive, team-focused attitude
