Their teams work at the forefront of industrial innovation, continuously improving manufacturing capability and efficiency. Due to ongoing project demand, they are seeking an experienced Industrial Assembly Engineer to support assembly technology development and deployment.
HIGHLIGHTS
* £37.02 per hour
* On-site – Broughton
* 35-hour week
* Contract until 31/12/2026
* BPSS required
INDUSTRIAL ASSEMBLY ENGINEER
As an Industrial Assembly Engineer, you will work within the Assembly Technologies team, applying strong technical and project management skills to research, develop, and deliver new technologies for aircraft wing assembly. The role has a particular focus on drilling and fastening equipment and processes, supporting both manual and semi-automated solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deployment and support of drilling & fastening equipment (manual and semi-automated)
* Defining new equipment and developing new assembly processes
* Project managing and providing technical support to existing machinery
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives within wing manufacturing
* Supporting Methods and Process activities for manufacturing operations
* Managing capital investment, EHS, and continuous improvement projects
* Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and transnational teams
INDUSTRIAL ASSEMBLY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Strong technical background in shop floor manufacturing processes
* Experience with drilling and/or fastening processes
* Good understanding of wing build or complex assembly processes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working cross-functionally
* Proficient with Google-based office tools (Sheets, Slides, GMail)
* Well-organised with strong attention to detail
* BPSS clearance (or ability to obtain)
