About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Housing Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert advice, guidance, and support to individuals and families facing housing challenges, including homelessness, tenancy issues, and accessing suitable accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality housing advice and support to clients in person, by phone, and online
* Assess client needs and develop personalised housing plans
* Support individuals at risk of homelessness, including prevention and relief strategies
* Liaise with landlords, local authorities, and external agencies to secure housing solutions
* Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
* Keep up to date with housing laws, policies, and best practices
About You
* Experience working in housing advice, homelessness services, or a related field
* Strong understanding of housing legislation and welfare benefits
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure
* Empathetic, non-judgmental, and client-focused approach
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Desirable
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals or diverse communities
* Relevant qualification in housing, social work, or a related discipline
